Sierra Leone has the highest maternal mortality rate in the world where 1 in 8 women die during childbirth. The country is also home to one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world (123 of 1000 children do not survive to the age of one, not including miscarriages and still births). We are promoting awareness and alternatives to these conditions.
