Candida Home Remedies for Vaginitis

Candida albicans is a fungus that normally lives in our bodies. Why, then, does it cause so much suffering in some women? Candida albicans naturally thrives in our gut as part of our intestinal flora. The problem starts when it out-numbers the friendly bacteria in our intestines. When this happens, one of the common results is vaginitis, an inflammation of the vagina. Symptoms include itching and pain.
The crucial balance between good or friendly bacteria and Candida albicans can be brought about a number of things, including: overuse of antibiotics, birth control pills, spermicides, hormone replacement therapy, douching with chemicals, and small cuts in the vaginal walls from using tampons or shaving. Pregnancy and diabetes can also cause hormonal shifts that encourage the growth of Candida albicans, leading to vaginitis.
Medical doctors commonly treat vaginitis using topical creams. However, there are home remedies that can ease symptoms or even clear the fungal infection altogether. These can be safely used either alone or along with other treatments:

Urinary tract infection or bladder infection is a condition that tends to affect women more acutely than men. It is a very painful problem which needs immediate medical attention. If detected in the earlier stages itself, it can be prevented averting serious damage to your health in the long run. While waiting to see your health care practitioner, try these natural urinary tract infection treatment at home:
- Drink a big glass of water with about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- Drink plenty of water or plain, unsweetened coconut water
- Take a homeopathic remedy for bladder infection (Consult your homeopathic practitioner)
They will make you feel better until your doctor or naturopathic physician sees you and prescribes the appropriate treatment.
