Great post Lexi.

One thing though to keep in mind. When it says "natural" on the product it doesn't mean it contains all natural. An all natural product cannot survive the shelf life.

So there need to be a preservative of some sort. A truly all natural product will be the one that you make on your own and use it right away or keep it in the fridge.

What is important to keep in mind when trying to buy "almost" all natural is to look at the list of ingredients. The top 3 ingredients on the product will give you its active ingredients.

For example, if you are looking at an aloe vera product, aloe vera should be one of the first 3 ingredients. If its on the 5th or 10 on the list, then it is likely that you are getting only a small amount of aloe or aloe extract that its really not that beneficial.

As for peels, yeah they sound dangerous:) but many of these peels come from natural sources and you can make it your own. Peels can remove the dead top layer of our skin and allow it to renew itself naturally.

Removing the dead skin can brighten up your skin. AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) - the scary sounding name is derived from these natural sources with of course some other chemicals for preservatives; Malic Acid (from apples), Lactic Acid (from milk, berries and tomatoes) Tartaric Acid (from grapes) Citric Acid (from citrus fruits) and Glycolic Acid (sugar cange).

An apple cider or milk as a face wash can do wonders to your skin due to its natural peeling properties. It cleans the dead skin off:)

As for Botox - stay away from it. The name came from the word Botulinum Toxin.
