Are you the crafty type? Talk about your hobby and you can earn money online.

Did you know that moms are earning money by talking about their hobbies and talents online? One of the hottest examples of this is the area of crafting. You probably know that crafting is hot right now. There’s been a huge resurgence in the popularity of handicrafts and traditional, homemade items.

Starting a blog is one of the easiest ways of making money online because blogs don’t require knowledge of any coding language. If you can type an Email you can publish content to a blog. Here is one resource that I recommend.

My friend Nicole Dean, a long time blogger, has put together a whole package of information for anyone interested or who has ever thought of starting a craft business using a blog. It’s called the Just Add Sweat Guide to Making Money From a Craft Blog.

Here’s what you get:

  • A 35-page eBook
  • 2 Audios: One is an interview with a successful blogger who makes money using various topics-focused blogs. This helps you not know know what to do, but also with motivation. It’s nice to know that others have come before you and can point you in the right direction so your business will be more successful, faster. The second is an audio with craft blogging tips.
  • [ad#ad-2

It also contains resources for finding graphics for your blog and resources for finding content for your blog so you won’t have to write it all yourself, where to buy a domain, even a free course that will help you get traffic (visitors) to your blog. Also included is a blogging calendar to help you with ideas for content when your ideas run dry, a bonus time management Ebook and free lifetime updates.

One mom, LeaAnn Massey from Covington, IN also reviewed this product. This is what she had to say:

“I don’t have a lot of time where my kids aren’t around, but I want to start a business online so that I can stay home and raise them. I’ve seen the job ads for customer service, phone work, etc. and they seem great, but with little ones, it’s hard to actually set a schedule so that I can do my work during a quiet, uninterrupted time each day. Basically, it’s not possible in my house and it’s not fair to any company to even attempt to make it work. So, I was looking for a way to make money that didn’t require me to put my children in daycare or end up in a stressful situation where I was on the phone and my 2 year old decided to play superman and jump off the couch screaming.

I also love to do crafts and was curious as to how I could create an income doing something I love without actually having to create and sell my own crafts. I love creating crafts, but honestly I just don’t have the time to create and sell enough of them to make a full time living.

I purchased the Just Add Sweat Craft Blog Business package and dived into it all right away. After going through all the information, I’m excited that I have finally found a way to create an income without having to change my family’s life so much that it’s like I had a job outside the home. I know I can stick to my topic of crafts too, which means it’s something I love to talk about therefore, I won’t get bored with my work anytime soon.

The 1st audio was great! The interview talks with Nicole Dean about blogs in general. She tells you why blogging is a great way to make money online, why choosing a specific topic is good, which platform is best to blog with, how to get others to visit your blog and so much more.

I really liked the fact that they told me up front that I wouldn’t immediately make hundreds of dollars a month. It truly does take some sweat and hard work just like any other business. There’s no such thing as a free ride with an online business, no matter how many people try to convince people otherwise.

The second audio offered great tips for a craft blog specifically. The EBook, is 35 pages of information on how to actually start a craft blog. From what I needed to get started, to what blogging software to use, tips for narrowing down a specific craft niche and why it’s important to do so, and even help for determining a target visitor. This specific part was really helpful to me because I didn’t even realize that you needed such a specific market in order to get the most out of an online business. I just assumed anyone interested in crafts would be a possible customer!

The step-by-step instructions for setting up a blog on Blogger were so helpful, considering I have never started a blog before. I’d heard of blogs and sort of knew what they were, but never actually looked into starting one. So, the guided steps, plus screenshots were definitely a lifesaver.

The guide even gives you ways you can monetize your blog, including specific affiliate programs that fit perfectly with a craft blog.

I was wondering how I actually get people to come to my blog and the EBook explains lots of ways that I can get my blog noticed by people on the Internet from where to submit my blog, how to comment on others blogs, a whole course on how to get traffic to my blog, etc.

I also got all the technical information on setting up my business and why I should treat my blog just like any other business. Unlike lots of other business tools, I wasn’t left to figure out the necessities of starting a business on my own.

I could go on and on about what’s included, but I’ve got a business to work on, so I’ll let you check out the rest of the details for yourself.”
