The mother also sustained her four year old child on her breastmilk. There was another situation like this where a four month old, mother & father were stranded near the CA/NV boarder, baby made it out with only a bad diaper rash as the mother breastfed & also kept her baby hydrated by melting snow in her mouth and dripping it into her baby's mouth. all survived. :) This happened near where I live in Oregon.
