The Holistic Baby Guide

Where to buy: www.amazon.com

When you are expecting your first baby, you want everything to be perfect. You might not be prepared, though, for the first signs of illnesses that are common in infants during their first year. And you might also not know how to treat them. These days, more and more parents choose to look at a holistic approach when treating illness in infants and children. If you are interested in this alternative approach, then ?The Holistic Baby Guide? book gives you lots of valuable information.

The Holistic Baby Guide is a book written by a naturopath, who has been practising holistic medicine for over 30 years. He passes on his extensive knowledge and that of other holistic paediatricians to readers.

Holistic means healing without the side effects traditional medication might have. The book gives lots of advice on how to treat infants/toddlers through proper nutrition, change of lifestyle and homeopathic supplements. Even when treating a special condition, the author advocates looking at the whole body to try and look at the bigger picture as to what other factors might be causing the symptoms. In this book you find answers on how to treat conditions such as colic and other digestive problems, skin conditions: from diaper rash to cradle cap, allergies, ear infections and first colds and flu the holistic way. You can also read up on supplements, such as fish oil, probiotics, Vitamin D3, and how to use them appropriately and safely.

In my opinion, this book is a must read for all parents of a newborn, if they prefer to avoid traditional medicine (if not absolutely needed) and want to try healing with a holistic approach.
