Microfiber Cleaning Cloths

DSCN0268

Microfiber is the cleaning product of the future. Cleaning cloths made of microfiber are super absorbent. In fact, if you don’t use gloves when handling them, they’ll dry out your hands. Microfiber cloths can be used without cleaning chemicals – great for moms cleaning around little ones or for people with allergies or chemical sensitivities.

Here are useful facts about microfiber:

Microfiber cloths are more cost effective long term since you can wash them hundreds of times and reuse them.
[ad#ad-2] Studies have shown that microfiber actually reduces the microbial count of a surface by 99%. That means they’re antibacterial without the danger of bleach or other chemicals that pollute the environment.

Microfiber can be used dry to dust almost any surface, from eyeglasses to computers, furniture, cars, etc. They can be used wet to clean nearly anything – from bathtubs to dishes to boats.

You can even clean your face with them. They’re great for removing makeup, using only water.

Microfiber cloths are buttery soft and if you use one to dry your hair, it will cut your drying time in half.

Microfiber can be used as to increase the absorbency of cloth diapers. (Don’t put microfiber directly against baby’s skin since it is very drying, but rather use it under the regular diaper to add tons of absorbency with minimal bulk or inside a pocket diaper.)

Buying Microfiber

I have been using microfiber cleaning cloths for years and love them. I have saved a lot of money by not buying disposable cleaning products, as well as reducing the amount of cleaning chemicals I use. Even if you use non toxic products, you’re spending extra money.

Microfiber cleaning cloths range in price but I would suggest not skimping on them. Some of the microfiber you find at the grocery store is poor quality and not 100% microfiber. Go ahead and splurge and buy the nicer cloths. They’ll last much longer and will be thicker and superior in quality.

Care for Microfiber

Be sure to wash and dry your microfiber separate from towels. Microfiber will absorb lint and absorbency will be affected. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener on them too.
